I realize that strategy should be all in or fold at this point, but no one else knows this. If I'm still around even after an hour into the tournament, I have about 10bb. We average 7-8 hands/blind level so the first 45 minutes when I have 100bbs, 50bbs, then 25bbs, I only see ~9 hands IP where I can attempt to steal in the first 45 minutes and that's if no one has raised prior to it getting to me (and most limpers will call a raise too). ![]() My biggest problems are getting short stacked, playing a proper short stack game when almost everyone else doesn't have any concept of properly playing short stacked, and late short stacked play. Are there other items I should be looking for? I have a good understanding of who I can push around, who will push back, who I can double barrel, and who I should surrender too when they call me. I'm always looking for easy spots to pick up chips. Things I'm constantly looking for are playing in position, betting for value, and looking for steals that will work a high percentage of the time. No one takes it too seriously and there is a lot of r/trees going on. Before you ask why I would even play this game, it's a casual game with friends. There are all types of players: ATCs to nits. This is a live $5 home game that averages 18 people a week. ![]() This may even be considered a hyper-turbo. I've been trying to figure out the best strategy for this game.
